Math Tutoring

Building strong problem-solvers through step-by-step support and hands-on learning.

Program Overview

Our Math tutoring program is designed to support students in Grades 1–8 by developing both foundational and advanced math skills. Whether your child is counting for the first time, mastering multiplication, or preparing for algebra, our tutors create an encouraging environment where students feel supported, capable, and curious.

We offer both group-based and one-on-one tutoring, with learning pathways tailored to each student’s ability—not just their grade. To ensure accurate placement, students complete a short diagnostic quiz when they join the program. This allows us to match them with the right level and tutor from the start.

What Will Your Child Learn?

Our math program is aligned with the Ontario Curriculum and emphasizes deep understanding over memorization. Depending on level, students may work on:

Number Sense

Understanding whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and place value

Measurement

Learning about time, money, length, area, and volume through real-world contexts

Operations

Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with meaning and strategies

Geometry

Identifying shapes, working with angles, and exploring symmetry and transformations

Problem Solving

Applying logic, reasoning, and math strategies to solve word problems

Data & Probability

Reading charts, collecting data, and exploring basic probability

Learning Levels & Developmental Pathways

We sort students into three math levels using a quick and friendly placement quiz when they register. This helps ensure they’re challenged appropriately and receiving the right kind of help.

Placement Quiz

Every student completes a short math quiz when registering. This quick check helps us place them in the appropriate level and identify specific strengths and gaps. The quiz includes questions across number sense, operations, and problem-solving. Results are used for internal planning and are shared with families upon request.
